Some interesting facts about Dolphins:
Dolphins are part of the Delphinidin family of marine and terrestrial organisms. It is estimated that there are between 30 and 40 species of dolphins. Although living in the water, dolphins are adaptable creatures in their burrows, far above their heads. A few species of dolphins have to climb to the top to inhale for 20 to 30 seconds while others can hold their breath for up to 30 minutes. Dolphins are very friendly, fun-loving, curious, and intelligent.
They live in circles or families called Pods. Dolphins rest by resting 50 percent of their brains so that one eye stays open. This allows them to climb higher to breathe and protect themselves from predators. Male dolphins are called Bulls and female dolphins are called Cows. The little dolphin is known as the calf. Dolphins get their first tail and suckle in their mothers for up to 4 years. Mother dolphins produce the fattest, about 50 percent.
Each dolphin has its own identity card. Dolphins have a beautiful view and have round eyes created. Dolphins are carnivorous animals that normally eat fish and squid and sometimes shellfish. Dolphins have a layer of fat under their skin called the scalp, which helps them stay warm. The Pink Dolphin lives in the Amazon Rainforest. It is commonly found in feeders and large rivers in the Orinoco River in South America. This creature can remain immersed for 15 minutes in water. The boys rested just below and came smelling like a reflex. The body of the Pink Dolphin has become accustomed to the distribution of the Amazon.
The Pink Dolphin is an amazing mammal. It lives in the Amazon River. This animal is accustomed to the lives of powerful people. Humans endanger this animal. Humans are causing this friendly animal to become extinct, by destroying its habitat. I would like this species to live for many years. I would love to be able to show the kids of tomorrow the Pink Dolphin swimming in the Amazon Basin.
